Day 8: 15 November 2025
Poem -- Autumn Walks
The sky is cloudy
and grey. Will it rain today?
I check the weather.
I don a hoodie
And a grey plaid poncho, too.
Do I need a scarf?
Red, yellow and brown
Leaves are scattered on the ground
Crunching under boots.
A squirrel runs past and
up a tree holding a nut.
I watch. Now it’s gone.
On the final stretch
I admire the trees ahead
Arrayed in colours.
Now we’re home.
