Day 303: 6 September 2026

I wrote something but have decided not to post it.

Day 302: 5 September 2026

Journal  Today was one of those days. Nothing overly bad happened. But I already felt caught on the back foot when I woke up. Little One’s naps are a bit off at the moment. Lunch came LATE, because I also needed to get dinner started in the crockpot. (And we still didn’t end up eating that for dinner because it wasn’t ready in time, so we had fish fingers and tator tots instead). But the weather was beautiful and I love seeing Little One’s smile and having their hugs! Today was one of those days. Nothing overly bad happened. Day 301: 4 September 2026

Poem  One nap or two? Independent sleep or hold you? Have I fed you enough? Do you watch too much stuff? Am I helping you learn? Keeping you safe but not coddling you in turn? There’s so many ways for me to go wrong. But I see your smile, gentleness and cheeky attitude… And I know you have my love And that will make you strong.

Day 300: 3 September 2026

Poem  You’ll always be my Little One. No matter how much you grow. No matter how far you go. My heart will always hold you.

Day 297: 31 August 2026

Journal  We’re back now. We arrived almost wildly late in the night. And even today… I am EXHAUSTED.

Day 295: 29 August 2026

One sentence / Journal  Fill out later. Waterspout.

Day 294: 28 August 2026

One sentence / Reflection  Agia Napa reminds me so much of Hilton Head Island.

One sentence / Journal  I wore my first fascinator today.

Day 291: 25 August 2026

One sentence / Reflection A quiet night in was medicine for my soul.

Day 290: 24 August 2026

Journal  Day 8 — We went to the beach early today because we were all awake. It was glorious! Little One has transitioned from calling it the bath to calling it a pool.

Day 288: 22 August 2026

One sentence / Journal  We had a lazy day today but still met up with people.

Day 287: 21 August 2026

One sentence / Journal  Little One can now do the actions to some of the Raffi songs!

Day 285: 19 August 2026

Journal  Day three was pretty laid back. I got a lot of reading done!

Day 284: 18 August 2026

Journal  Day Two — Little One loved splashing in the sea but didn’t appreciate the salt in his eyes if rubbed them with wet hands. He also had his first trip to Zorba’s, and the ladies working gave him two free cookies.

Day 283: 17 August 2026

Journal  Day One: Little One had his first Cypriot seafood and first Cyprus watermelon. High points of my day included: seeing the sea, also eating fresh seafood, and getting to watch part of a movie with my hubby.

Day 282: 16 August 2026

Journal  We sat in the plane for an hour before actually taking off. Little One fell asleep shortly after we boarded and slept for another two-ish hours. I also napped for a bit, neck cricked against the window, hand numb from where Little One was, once we were in the air. It was supposed to be a nearly five hour flight. I’ve flown quite a bit over my life — and never have I felt more like a caged wild animal (think big cat) in a plane.

Day 281: 15 August 2026

Poem  It’s hard to see you sick or hurt. Sometimes there’s naught that I can do But give you love and snuggles Then you settle in my arms, showing you approve.
